Head of the
Centre for Research and Documentation (CR+D) of The Daniel Langlois Foundation
since 1999, Alain Depocas has been named Director of the CR+D in 2003. In
this capacity, he is in charge of a documentary collection covering the
history, works and practices associated with the electronic, digital and
media arts. He has also set up a database for managing the collection and
information on the CR+D's areas of interest. After studying art history and earning a master's degree in 1991, he worked from 1991 to 1999 as a researcher and then documentalist at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal (MACM). From 2002 to 2004 he codirected the Variable media Network in the context of a partnership between the Guggenheim Museum and the Langlois Foundation.
