Simone Osthoff, Assistant Professor of Critical Studies in the School of Visual Arts at Penn State University, is a Brazilian-born artist and writer centering her research on the institutionalization of experimental practices and on contested histories of contemporary art. Her publications include seven book chapters—two in Routledge and two in MIT Press books—among multiple essays in journals, art magazines, and catalogues. Her new book about art, design and media, explores the Jornal do Brasil Sunday supplement during the utopian years between 1956 and 1961. |
