Rosana Horio Monteiro is professor at the Federal University of Goias, Brazil, where she teaches at the Visual Culture Master Program and edits the journal Visualidades. She is the author of 'Descobertas múltiplas (Multiple discoveries) - Photography in Brazil (1824-1833)'. Her main research interests are art and science, medical images and sociology and ethnography of science, and the appropriation of medical images in art contexts. |
