Ernest Edmonds is a pioneer in the development of practice-based PhD programmes in art and technology in the UK. In 1993 he started the Creativity and Cognition Conference series. He is most concerned today with generative audio-visual abstract art. He runs a major group concerned with practise-based research in art and technology at the University of Technology, Sydney where he is Professor of Computation and Creative Media.
