Manosh Chowdhury taught social anthropology and photojournalism in Bangladesh. Researched and wrote on – popular music, film, women movement, ethnicity, development agents, micro-credit, health, civil society. Co-authored and co-edited several books in Bengali. He is writing short stories and other literary pieces in the major dailies of Bangladesh. Acted in two Bengali-language feature films made by a feminist filmmaker. Currently he is pursuing doctoral degree in Japan.
