Boo Chapple is a practising artist and researcher whose work focuses on processes of material-technical transformation that operate at the boundary between life and non-life, bodies and culture. She holds a Masters of Design from RMIT University and has recently completed a year long residency at the SymbioticA art and science collaborative research laboratory in the School of Anatomy and Human Biology, at the University of Western Australia, where she was working in the area of art and biology. Previous work has been done in the areas of sound performance and design, network mediated communication and performance installation. Amongst others, her work has been exhibited at the Beijing Biennale of Architecture and in an exhibition of Australian sound art at the San Francisco MoMA. Chapple is currently employed as Artist in Residence in the Bio-Spatial Design Program at RMIT. |
