Tim Clark has been working as an interdisciplinary artist and researcher for more than twenty years. Over this period he has developed numerous projects in the areas of performance, photography, and film/video installations that have addressed such issues as cultural imperialism, social conflict, and ethical practices in art. He has taught Art History and Aesthetics at the University of Ottawa and is presently Associate Professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University where he teaches in the Studio Arts program Intermedia and Cyber Arts.. He is also a member of Hexagram: Institute for Creation/Research in Media Arts and Technologies in Montreal and a researcher on the joint Concordia University – Université du Québec a Montréal group Archivage et exploration de nouvelles formes narratives audio/video numériques. His main research areas have concentrated on the History of Aesthetics, Art Theory, Interdisciplinarity, and the work of Michel Foucault and Immaual Kant. |
